JULY 2008 Calendar of Events:

July 1st at 7:00 pm - Habitat for Humanity of Island County Home Dedication for Malina Vandewerfhorst at her new home: 415 Gramayre Road. This is SCH’s 3rd HFH homeowner. Let’s welcome Malina and her daughter into the SCH family.

July 8th at 9:00 am - Planning Commission Meeting at the Commissioner’s Hearing Room in Coupeville: The Affordable Housing Amendments are on the agenda. Please attend and give your support for affordable housing in Island County.

July 12 -13 - Choochokam Arts Festival in Langley Saturday 10:00am – 9:30pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 5:00pm. SCH Volunteers are needed to staff our booth for short periods of time. Please give Sandra a call at 360-331-4248 or send her an email at sch@whidbey.com. Bring your family and let them stroll the festival while you inform the public about SCH.

July 14th at 11:30, Freeland Chamber Luncheon at Gerry’s Kitchen (reservations required), Sandra Stipe of SCH is the featured speaker, giving a presentation about Affordable housing.

July 16th at 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Cash Store in Bayview: SCH and the Whidbey Camano Land Trust will be the first featured guests at the Goosefoot Summer BBQ series. Come for the food and dancing, stay for mixing and mingling with your friends and neighbors.
